Aston Villa have re-signed young midfielder Jack Grealish to a new 4 year deal which ties him to the Birmingham based club until at least 2020.
Grealish has had a brilliant start to the season in 2016 after an interrupted Premier League campaign in 2015 for the Villians. He has scored two goals and is playing with a lot more happiness and enthusiasm than previous campaigns. there is no doubt that Grealish has raw talent and if harnessed effectively he can be a star in years to come. Villa obviously have seen these traits in him and have high hopes for his future with the claret and blue’s.
Grealish was delighted with the signing of the new contract and chatted candidly about his love for Aston Villa, speaking to BBC Sport he said “Everyone knows this is a club I love dearly, It’s the place I want to play my football. Bodymoor Heath (Villa’s training ground) provides a great environment in which to continue my football education and to call Villa Park home is something I will never take for granted. We’re looking to return to the Premier League. I want to be a big part of that process and will be doing everything possible to make that a reality.”
Grealish who turns 21 on Saturday will be hoping to ride his recent wave of momentum and guide Villa to just their 2nd win of the Championship season as they travel to Nottingham Forest on Sunday. The Villians currently sit in an underwhelming 16th position with just 1 win from 5 games.
