Norman Stood Down By NRL

It seems that there isn’t a week that doesn’t go past without dramas for the poor old Parramatta Eels. That trend continued this week when their star Halfback Corey Norman was suspended for the rest of the year by the NRL. Norman has had a very up and down year with his on field heroics amazing critics all over the NRL, only for him to be a constant source of frustration off the field with his questionable behaviour slanting his character as a whole. Journal Entry #1

Looking back on the first completed class of news conference at Petersham TAFE, it was a class that i thoroughly enjoyed and felt that I learned a lot.
It’s been quite some time since I’ve been at TAFE so naturally I was pretty nervous and didn’t know what to expect. However my fears were allayed when Nick made us all feel welcome by introducing himself as well as getting all of the class to talk about ourselves. I found this exercise extremely helpful and it gave others a really good insight to how I work and what my dreams and goals are.

I didn’t complete any work in class, however did update my “about me” section on my wordpress blog and included all my relevant work experience that I have completed over the last couple of years. I also completed the 300 word homework task that we were required to do and I was pretty pleased with the words I put down. I reported about the ban that the NRL has imposed on Corey Norman and the reasons for this. Also spoke briefly about the repercussions that this could have for Norman down the track.

I am really looking forward to learning more about the news and in particular structuring articles and improving my style of writing. Learning about topics you’re interested in makes studying fun!
